Mr. Scott Dearth

I love teaching St. Jude as an intervention specialist after 30 years of serving in the same role in the Oak Hills School District. I was raised in the Dayton area but went to college at Cincinnati Christian University. While there, I received a degree in Christian Education and then got my Masters's Degree at UC in Special Education. God is at the center of my life, and my wife and I worship and serve at White Oak Christian Church. My wife, Susan, taught for many years at Christian schools in Harrison, Ohio, and is currently a substitute teacher. Our daughter Jasmine lives in Denver and is an intervention specialist with the Englewood, CO School District. My wife and I love to travel! I am also an avid OSU football and UC basketball fan. It is great being part of the St. Jude teaching staff!

A thorough background check is required for all those employed or volunteering to work with youth or vulnerable adults as a cleric, at a parish or school, as an Archdiocesan employee or at an Archdiocesan institution. All volunteers and employees are required to complete the electronic/online background check through SELECTION.com prior to beginning their volunteer activity or employment. In addition to the electronic/online background check, employees are required to complete manual fingerprinting and submit a B4 form before begin- ning their employment at an Archdiocesan parish, school, or institution.
